Obituary of Joseph A. Antinore
Batavia / LeRoy ~ Joseph A. Antinore, age 79, of Prospect Avenue, passed away late Tuesday afternoon (June 25, 2013) at home in the loving presence of his family after a long illness.
Mr. Antinore was born August 19, 1933 in LeRoy, a son of the late Anthony and Carrie Vangalio Antinore.
He served briefly with the U. S. Air Force and went on to become a self-employed barber in Churchville and LeRoy and later in life, provided transportation for developmentally challenged children and adults, first through his own bus service, then through the ARC of Livingston-Wyoming/Hilltop Industries in Mt. Morris.
Mr. Antinore is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lillian Cherchio Antinore, his children; Laurie (Larry) Carlson of Brighton, MI, Nancy (Joseph) Szymanski of LeRoy, Joanne (Joseph) Dermady of Irondequoit, Anthony Antinore of Batavia and Carol (Susan Schinaman) Antinore of Brighton, NY; his sister, Karen (Milton) Ebersold of LeRoy; four grandchildren, Kimberly Antinore, Angela (Cole) Farner, Luke Carlson and Katherine Dermady; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Mason Farner, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family was always Joe’s first priority…his pride and his joy. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Wilmot Cancer Center and Homecare & Hospice, and a special thank you to Jan (Loftus) Palenski for all your loving care and support.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 2 ~ 4 and 6 ~ 9 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service, 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Joseph’s Oratory), Lake St., LeRoy, with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Homecare & Hospice, 550 E. Main St., Batavia, N.Y. or Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 44 Lake St., LeRoy, N.Y.
