Obituary of Joan C. Cheeseman

LeRoy ~ Joan C. Cheeseman, age 84, formerly of South Street Road, passed away Thursday afternoon (March 26, 2015) at Highland Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Cheeseman was born February 26, 1931 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite Neid Michel. She loved to work in her garden and was a past president and member of the LeRoy Garden Club. She was also a member of the bridge club and the American Legion, where she was very active over the years. She was considered to be very "trendy", and loved to shop for clothes. After raising her family, she became a part time realtor. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Wayne E. Cheeseman; her children, Linda (Paul) Forti of LeRoy, David Cheeseman of Rochester, Daniel (Michele) Cheeseman of Webster and Mark Cheeseman of Buffalo; 6 grandchidren, Michael (Breanne) Forti, Matthew Forti, Brandon Cheeseman, Gabrielle Cheeseman, Owen Cheeseman and Aidan Cheeseman; 3 great-grandchldren, Ava, Weston and Emerson; sister-in-law, Virginia Anchor of Bethany, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4 ~ 6 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), where services will be held at 6:00 PM. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery will be private. Memorials are suggested to either the Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 or LeRoy Town & Garden Club, c/o The Hobby Horse, 56 Main St., LeRoy, NY 14482.
