Just Googled "Miss Love" and was surprised and saddened to hear of her passing. I was one of her least athletic students, ever; she would encourage me and at times it was pretty funny. I did however learn a skill at age 7 that at 57, is survived me well: the butt- cheek walk.... I am recovering from fort surgery and using that skill to decend stairs, wiggle onto a shower chair, and make a bed. She did not have the easiest time teaching me that. I could feel a extra bit of joy in the silliness. So now I know where it came from.
My belated condolences to all, for a most amazing strong, smart and loved teachers.

Mr. Ianni,
I was very sadden when I read of the passing of your wife. Miss Love as I will always remember her was my gym teacher at Elba. She seemed to truly love what she did. I loved her smile and her laugh. I would see her time to time when I worked at Genesee Country Village. I loved spending those few minutes speaking with her. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Jean and I were teaching colleagues at Elba for many good years. She was a teacher's teacher and as humble about her teaching attributes as you could find anywhere. She was an example for her students to follow, with her genuine concern for each and every student. She was a person you felt comfortable in going to for suggestions in solving problems. We had a lot of fun teaching physical education together, and helped make teaching at Elba a great place to work. She will be missed by my wife Sandy and I , but we ywill always remember her vitality and caring ness for all the people she touched.

Dear Louis, I taught with Jean at Elba and I am also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. I loved Jean...she was a role-model for me, and always so kind and caring. I enjoyed her company, conversation, and sense of humor. I always admired your beautiful home and porch décor whenever I drove by. Now when I drive by, I will think of Jean, and offer a prayer to thank God for putting her in my life. May she rest in peace. Always, Shirley Puleo

So Sorry to hear of Miss Love's passing.
Miss Love, as we all knew her, was our PE teacher in the 60's. She has left a lasting impression on many of us, I enjoyed her classes and her leadership to our team sports was much appreciated. I do think of her from time-to-time (even though we're heading for 50 years since graduation). She will be missed.

Mr. Ianni,
So sorry to hear about your loss of Jean. I had the privilege of working with her at Elba Central School. I
was a Kindergarten teacher and she was the P.E. teacher for Kindergarten. She always showed her love and caring for the children and others around her with her lovely smile.
I will always remember spending time with her at a special little place near Lake Ontario for a luncheon to celebrate my retirement. She called and just wanted to take me to this little place. We had a wonderful day that day.
May special memories help to comfort you and give you peace.
