Obituary of Russell A. Harvie

LeRoy ~ Russell A. Harvie, age 60, of Myrtle Street, passed away at home Sunday afternoon (April 21, 2013). He was born March 6, 1953 in Batavia, a son of the late Ross Harvie and Ruth Brady Harvie. Russ will be remembered for his quick, witty sense of humor and his kind heart. He was a dear friend to many and maintained many extended friendships. He is survived by his dear mother, Ruth Harvie of LeRoy, daughter, Sophie (Dolan Matla) Carmichael of New Orleans and son, Ian Harvie of CA, sisters; Judy (Terry) Hair of TN, Ellen (Cliff) Faull of NC, Susan (Jeffery) Carmichael of CA and Patricia (Brian) Williams of LeRoy, brother, Stephen Harvie of RI, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bruce (Cindy) Haynes of LeRoy, a special nephew, Clif Williams, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his dad, he was also predeceased by his wife, Linda “Mona” Haynes Harvie. Family and friends are invited to call on the family on Thursday from 2 ~ 4 at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service, 8700 Lake Road (Rt 19 north), LeRoy, where a Memorial Celebration of Russ’ Life will be held at 4 P.M.
