Kent, I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I met him about 4 years ago, when I stopped in his home to drop off a red LHS reunion t-shirt for Kent. They invited me in, and Kent's wife, his sister, mom and dad were so gracious and fun to meet. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless, Lynn

Very saddened by this news. I met Mr. Ladd while volunteering at the VA Hospital as a teenager. He was a bright, cheerful man with a wonderful sense of humor. Throughout 3 summers of volunteer work at the VA, we became good friends. He had so many stories. I am happy to have known him and will cherish the memories and time that I got to spend with him. My thoughts are with his family. He will be missed. He made a big impact on me. I really looked up to him.

Very sad to hear of the passing of my neighbor comrade and friend Dick Ladd. He was one of the best of the Greatest Generation. I treasure the hours I spent with him sharing stories and laughs. After my own mom and dad had passed, he and Helen were like my second parents. It was a joy to spend time with them and Dick's drop-in 15 minute visits always lasted several hours. Everyone should know what a great American and hero he was and his experiences as a "Screaming Eagle" are the stuff of legend. I hope he remembered to shout "Bill Lee" on his last jump. I will miss him very much. I only hope he is hanging out with my dad right now. My deepest respects and condolences to Helen and the family. Airborne - All The Way!

My thoughts & prayers are extended to the Ladd family at this time. When I think of Dickie, I remember the Thanksgiving hosted be Andrew & Caroline. He shared many stories of experiences with my father. Which by the way, was when they were younger & during their working years. I also enjoyed listening to his WW II memories broadcast on WBTA. May he rest in peace.
