Obituary of Helen M. Birge

LeRoy ~ Helen M. Birge, age 97, passed away Wednesday evening (Oct. 28, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born June 15, 1918 in Clarendon, N.Y., a daughter of the late Burt and Ella Kennedy Bridgeman. Helen will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, who thoroughly enjoyed people. She loved to play bingo and watch baseball. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Barb Schlonski of Batavia and Mary Birge of E. Bethany; along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Birge and two brothers. Family and friends may call on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2 ~ 4 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy, with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, 53 W. Main St., LeRoy, NY 14482
