Hooch was a one of kind. Like many of Jeff's buddies, he took me to my first college football game and to and from countless away games and practices while playing youth football. He was quick witted and funny. I remember when I asked him if he really went to SU he said yes and that he studied engineering. But it took him 2 years to realize that he wouldn't be driving a train. It was a lot to process at 13. My condolences to his entire family and his many friends. He will be missed.

For years back in the 80's I had the opportunity of Umpiring High School Baseball Games with Gary. He always showed a passion for what we were doing. I'll never forget the endless conflicts he had with Sudsy(The Coach) at Notre Dam. But that wasn't unusual, as Sudsy had plenty of conflicts with all of us. But we always managed to laugh over it with a cold one or two after the games. I remember a annual banquet we had (AT Big Daddy's)and you would think Sudsy was Hooch's long lost brother. Laughing and patting each other on the back all evening. That's how Gary was. RIP
