Obituary of George E. Hively Jr.

LeRoy ~ George E. Hively Jr., age 80, of Gilbert Street, passed away Sunday morning (March 27, 2016) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. He was born November 10, 1935 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late George and Thelma Buncy Hively Sr. Mr. Hively will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who liked to hunt, fish, travel, read and smoke his pipe. He was also a US Navy veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Wilma Lang Hively; his children, George "Ged" Hively of PA, Melissa White (Richard Cousins) of Pavilion, Guy (Leslie) Hively of TN and Gregg Hively of LeRoy; his 7 grandchildren; his sisters, Patricia (Woody) Campbell of Gainesville and Cathy (Roger) Baker of Warsaw, along with many nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, David Hively. Services will be private at the family's convenience. Memorial contributions are suggested to either the LeRoy Ambulance Service or Camp Good Days & Special Times.
