Obituary of Margaret A. Churchfield

Batavia / Perry ~ Margaret A. Churchfield, age 88, formerly of East Bethany, died Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 7, 2012) at the Genesee County Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Churchfield was born June 21, 1924 in Alabama Center, NY, a daughter of the late Moses and Josephine DeMars Garrow. She cherished her family and truly enjoyed visiting with them and her friends. She also loved to cook and read. Mrs. Churchfield is survived by her children; Paula (Steve) Ferguson of Palmyra, Nicolette “Nicki” (Joseph) Stalica of Pavilion, Doug (Sharon) Churchfield of Groveland, Candy (Dennis) Lesinski of Hamburg, sisters; Arlene (Raymond) Mancuso of LeRoy and Ann Pursel of Winter Haven, FL, brother, Donald (Marilyn) Pursel of LeRoy, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Churchfield, daughter, Patty Conklin, grandson, Jeremy Churchfield, brothers; Joseph Garrow, Robert Pursel and Richard Pursel. Family and friends may call on Friday from 3 ~ 7 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 4120 W. Main St. Rd., Batavia. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Rt. 63 in E. Bethany. Interment will follow in Stafford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association on behalf of Jeremy Churchfield.
