Obituary of Gladys H. Van Buskirk

     Oakfield ~ Gladys H. Van Buskirk, age 92, passed away Monday morning (May 15, 2017) at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in Brockport.
     She was born October 8, 1924 in Canadice, a daughter of the late Irving and Flora Colegrove Harris.
     Gladys was an award winning quilter, having made over 87 quilts, as well as a seamstress for over 60 years in the Oakfield area.  She always enjoyed her friends stopping by to visit while she worked away on her quilts.  She was also a great baker and cook, an avid reader, loved flowers and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
     She is survived by her children, Florine (Richard) Meredith of Ovid, Charles (Bette) Van Buskirk of LeRoy and Barbara Dolan of Holley; grandchildren, Kelly Meredith, David (Sylvia) Meredith, Jonathan Van Buskirk, Allison Van Buskirk, Matthew Van Buskirk, Jeremy Dolan, Joshua Dolan and Jacob (Monica Eichner) Dolan and great-grandchildren, Alon Dolan, Desmond Meredith and Maverick Meredith.  She was predeceased by her husband, Francis C. Van Buskirk, her sister, Virginia Harris and son-in-law, Richard Dolan.
     Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1 ~ 3 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where services will be held at 3:00 PM.  Her Graveside Service will be held on Monday at 12:00 P.M. in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg.
