How lucky you all were to have such a fine human being as father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was also a wonderful uncle and in general, an exemplary man. I have such fond memories of events at your parents home in Leroy New York where the fun and wholesome gatherings were always happening. Somehow, although he is gone in the three dimensional sense, he lives on through all his good deeds, and always upbeat attitude. Wishing you all to aspire to be what your father was and remember him in all his goodness. In sympathy, Cousin Andrea Smith Kessler

To All of the family of Patrick Palotti,
Carol & I send are deepest sympathies & condolences to the entire family for the loss of our "Uncle Pat".
Everyone should know that his kindred spirit shall be greatly missed. As a young man & to this day I have always embraced & looked up to "Uncle Pat" as a man of wisdom & knowledge. Long conversation on the phone over the years & many laughs we have shared in which I shall always remember the rest of my life.
Pat was a great mentor to me in my life, & one of the very reasons that I am at where I am at today. There is no price tag that can ever be placed on how he invested his time & energy in to our lives.
The family gatherings over his house in Bergen, NY where almost every Sunday one could bank on great home cook meals & numerous games of Euchre!
I look back over the years & know how truly blessed all of us were to have that love filled environment created by Uncle Pat & Aunt Dot...truly one of my greatest childhood memories.
Sadly I will miss him in my life as over time our weekly phone calls will no longer be an option for me to look forward to, but I live life knowing that 'Uncle Pat" would want nothing more than for all of us as a family to celebrate his life instead of his passing!
God has called a great man home, & now I truly know how much bigger a man I must be to continue on what he has instilled in me & add to the family legacy.
Carol loved Uncle Pat for the man he was, for the stories he told, & for the love in his heart for all of us no matter the circumstances or distance.
In our minds we presently see his smiling face & can feel his loving touch....there is no price tag on what he contributed to our lives... forever he shall live in our hearts, minds, & souls...so until God calls us all home to be with "Uncle Pat" may we hold on to the great memories he has left us on the face of this earth to live with until "We" are called to join him at home.

My grandfather, Pasquale Angelo "Patsy" Palotti was, to me, the living bridge from Basilicata, Italy so long ago to the United States of today. Apart from my parents, he was the most significant role model in my life. I truly looked to his gusto as a way to comport myself in the modern world. As a southern Italian, he was, in a word, stubborn . Actually, that should be written with a capital 'S'. So stubborn, in fact, that he alone decided that (on a perhaps flippant, whimsical decision) to remove one 'L' from the original 'Pallotti' just because he was compelled in the moment to do so. Just because he could.
Despite that, or because of that, everybody in the small town of Le Roy, NY seemed to love him. In so many ways, he had the soul of a poet, remembering each crucial detail of our family history--the saints, sinners, and 'stregas'. Personally, I soaked up all his stories, mannerisms, and inflections growing up. I swear, some of his stories were even true!
They broke the proverbial mold when they made him and I'll miss his garbled profanities until my dying days. He was the epicenter of my family and he will be forever remembered.
