Obituary of Dorothy P. Graves
LeRoy ~ Dorothy Patricia Fisher Graves, age 78, of South St. Rd., passed away at home on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 12, 2017) surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 18, 1939 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Donald and Mahala Horton Fisher.
A life time resident of Batavia and LeRoy, Dorothy worked at the Grove Motel, BOK Plastics and was a waitress at the Sterling Diner in LeRoy for 18 years. She loved to cook, sew and crochet. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, as well as a loving "second mother" to many other children.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, James H. Graves Jr. in 1984, her brothers, Donald, Robert and Clifford and her sister, Adeline Nelson.
She is survived by her daughters, Laurie (Tim Hensel) Waite of Batavia, Barb Jandreau of LeRoy, Kathleen Graves of LeRoy and Julie (Peter) Doty of Stafford; grandchildren, Doug (Brandie) Waite, Kristen Waite, Nicholas (Nicole) Thompson, Curtis Jandreau, Jamie Kirk, Quinn and Alex Doty; great-grandchildren, Blake, Aidan, Noah, Preston and Jasmine; brothers, John Fisher of Batavia, Dick (Cindy) Fisher of CA and Alfred (Maggie) Fisher of Niagara Falls; sisters, Catherine (Fred) Lidke of Stafford, Carolyn Lyons of Binghamton and Brenda Fisher of Batavia; sisters-in-law, Eileen Smith of York and Lydia Fisher of Batavia, her companion of 8 years, Raymond Wagner of Belfast, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Family and friends may call on Monday, Sept. 18 from 4 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 P.M..
