Obituary of Barbara Jane Ellingham

LeRoy ~ Barbara Jane (Canfield) Ellingham, age 59, of South Street Road, passed away late Friday afternoon (Sept. 6, 2013) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Ellingham was born October 16, 1953 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Gordon Canfield and Mary Lois Caruthers Canfield. She shared her love of reading with her many students at the Pavilion Central School, where she was a wonderful and devoted elementary teacher up until her retirement. She was also known to be quite the “quilter”, making many lovely quilts for her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, Mary Lois “Mike” Canfield of FL, her son, Kenneth (Donna) Ellingham of LeRoy, her daughter, Crystal Ellingham (Brandon Smith) of LeRoy, grandchildren; Breanna, Kenneth Jr. and Mikayla, her sisters, Donna (William) Friedman of LeRoy and Susan (Glen) LaVallee of Baldwinsville, her brother, Rick Canfield of Batavia, an aunt, Jane Gillette of LeRoy, an uncle, Joseph Crnkovich of LeRoy, her dear friends of the “Wrapper Group”, along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd (Rt. 19). Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Living Waters Church, 30 Main Street, LeRoy. (Parking is available in the municipal lots on Bank St., Bacon St. and Mill St.) Interment will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.
