Obituary of John E. Gayhart

LeRoy ~ John E. Gayhart, age 61, formerly of Gilbert Street, passed away early Tuesday morning (February 6, 2018) at the East Side Nursing Home in Warsaw.

     He was born September 13, 1956 in Hornell, NY, a son of the late Elwin Gayhart and Beatrice Kelly Gayhart Lonsberry.

     John was a quiet, but loving man, who was an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan.  He also enjoyed western movies and country music.

     He is survived by his siblings, Virginia Mosher of Wayland, Carol Gayhart (Rex) of Avon, Patricia Mattison of Batavia, Louis Gayhart of LeRoy and Evie (Robert) VanDorn of Batavia, along with many nieces and nephews.  In addtion to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Kenneth, Wayne Arthur, Elwin and Jenny Stella Gayhart and his brother-in-law, Rudolph Mosher.

     Family and friends may call on Saturday from 2 ~ 5 at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt 19), LeRoy.  Interment in Machpelah Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the LeRoy Fire Department.
