Obituary of Alfred L. Parks

LeRoy ~ Alfred L. Parks, age 74, of North Road, passed away Saturday evening (June 16, 2018) at Unity Hospital in Rochester.

     He was born January 31, 1944 in Corning, N.Y., a son of the late Orville and Odetta Mosier Parks.

     He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved to watch his girls and grandchildren's activities, from fishing, girl/boy scouts, band, to sports.  He enjoyed all sports, whether watching them, playing them or coaching them.  He also enjoyed working around his home, mowing and gardening, as well as taking long drives and stopping at the occasional garage sale along the way.  Al was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in Viet Nam and Thailand.

     He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Karen Ingalls Parks; his daughters, Sandy Parks and Stephanie Parks, both of LeRoy; grandchildren, Jeffrey James and Bethani James; siblings, Franklin Parks (Karen Faulds) of Springwater, Jean (Roger) DeVinney of Perry, June (Russell) Elliott of Williamsburg, KY and Karen Parks of Perry; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Parks of Springwater and Alice Ingalls of LeRoy, along with many nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley and Keith.

     Family and friends may call on Friday from 3 - 5 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road, LeRoy, where his Service of Remembrance will be held at 5:00 PM. Immediately after the Remembrance Service, we invite you to join the family at the American Legion of LeRoy for refreshments, 6pm-TBD. 

     The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family to defray medical expenses.
