Obituary of Clayton H. Kelkenberg
Pavilion ~ Clayton Kelkenberg, age 86, of Starr Road, passed away Sunday morning (August 12, 2018) at Rochester General Hospital.
He was born February 10, 1932 in Clarence Center, N.Y., a son of the late Clifford and Charlotte Wadel Kelkenberg.
He was a farmer all his life and operated his own farm since 1960. He enjoyed spending time and visiting with his family and friends. He also liked to ride around looking at all the crops, going to the auctions with his nephew, John and playing euchre. Prior to farming, Clayton served two years with the U.S. Army and an additional two years in the reserves. He also served on the Niagara Co-op board of directors for 12 years.
Clayton is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Beller Kelkenberg; his son, Douglas Kelkenberg; daughters, Melody Kelkenberg of Texas and Michelle (Steve) Thompson of Wyoming; grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Sandra, Andy and Daniel of Pavilion, Crystal (Anthony) Whitlow of MI and Sara Thompson of Pavilion.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2 ~ 4 and 6 ~ 8 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where his Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. Interment with military honors will follow in the Pavilion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Pavilion United Methodist Church, 11115 E. Park St., Pavilion, NY 14525 or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
