Obituary of Cosimo J. Baglio

Brockport ~ Cosimo J. Baglio, age 101, died peacefully on October 5, 2018 at Elderwood Lakeside at Brockport, surrounded by his loving family.

     Cosimo was born on February 5, 1917 in LeRoy, NY, a son of the late Augustino and Josephine (Mancuso) Baglio.

     He was a graduate of the LeRoy High School Class of 1936, the longest surviving member of his class.  He operated the LeRoy Bottling Company for many years.

     Cosimo was very proud of his achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout and spent many years as a Boy Scout Leader in LeRoy.  He was also a Charter Member of the LeRoy Chapter of the Knights of Columbus and became a 4th Degree Knight in that organization.

     Cosimo is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Priscilla (Gaylord Thomas) Baglio; children, Josephine (Russell) Neider of Batavia, Gus Baglio of New York City, Lucille (Thomas) Haley of Rochester, Cathy (Douglas) Lawley of Astorville, Ontario, Canada and Christopher Thomas of Grafton, OH.

     He is also survived by 8 adored grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Marie Baglio of Falls Church, Virginia, along with many nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

     He was the husband of Pauline (Madonia) Baglio, who passed away in 1980 and was also predeceased by his brothers, Leonard, Ross and Joseph Baglio and his sister, Mary (Baglio) Saeva.

     Family and friends may call on Saturday, October 13 from 9:30 - 10:15 AM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where a celebration of Cosimo's life will be held at 10:30 AM.  Interment will be private in St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Cosimo to the Nativity of the BVM Building Fund, 152 Main St., Brockport, NY 14420.
