Obituary of Mary L. Nichols

Batavia ~ Mary L. Nichols, age 88, of State Street, passed away Thursday evening (Oct. 11, 2018) at Strong Memorial Hospital.

     She was born June 8, 1930 in Champlain, N.Y., a daughter of the late Edward and Lucy Dupont Joubert.

     Mary will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, who enjoyed baking for her family and friends and doing puzzles.

     She is survived by her children, Nancy (Walter) Stoll of LeRoy, Warren Nichols of LeRoy and Barbara (Dale) Atkinson of IL; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Judy) Joubert of WA; sister, Rita (Henry) Podsiadlo of Depew, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

     She was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Nichols in 1997, her son, John Nichols and four siblings.

     Services for Mary will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UR Medicine-Heart & Vascular Unit, c/o Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, N.Y. 14642.
