Obituary of Donald J. Tuohey Sr.

Batavia ~ Donald J. Tuohey Sr., age 83, of State Street, formerly of LeRoy and Lakeville, passed away Sunday evening (October 28, 2018) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.

     He was born June 30, 1935 in Medina, N.Y., a son of the late Walter and Catherine Kurkowski Tuohey.

     Don was the co-owner of the former Tuohey’s Greenhouse in LeRoy.  He enjoyed doing landscaping, fishing and playing the lottery and was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan.

     He is survived by his children, Suzanne (Joseph) Cianci of Stafford, Donald (Ellen) Tuohey Jr. of Hilton, Edward (Michelle) Tuohey of Hilton and Charles Tuohey of Oakfield; grandchildren, Michael, Kaylee, Erica, Megan, Sara, Brianna and Joseph; brother, Charles Tuohey of Chambersburg, PA, along with two nephews.  He was also predeceased by his sister, Mildred Swan.

     Services and interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medina, will be private at the convenience of the family.
