Obituary of Donald J. Kelly

LeRoy ~ Donald J. Kelly, age 66, of Haven Lane, passed away at home on Thursday afternoon (April 11, 2019) surrounded by his loving family.

     He was born December 22, 1952 in Spangler, PA, a son of the late Raymond and Eileen Adams Kelly.

     Don will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.  He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Batavia, where he participated in wrestling.  After high school, he began his 45 year career in the phone industry, working for AT&T, Rochester Tel and ultimately retiring from Frontier Communications.  Prior to his retirement, he taught classes for the new company employees.

     Above all, Don loved his family and took great pride in his home.  He and Becky enjoyed doing yard work together, as well as traveling and attending the various oldies shows at the Riviera Theatre.  He was an avid baseball fan and followed all his children's sporting events.

     He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of almost 46 years, Rebecca Taylor Kelly; his children, Joshua Kelly of Brockport, Joel (Megan) Kelly of LeRoy and Ashley (Billy) Sutherland of Batavia; grandchildren, Zackery, Jackson and Avery Kelly; siblings, Ron (Helen) Kelly of NJ, Rose Maher of Bergen, Ed (Pam) Kelly of NJ, Mike (Kathy) Kelly of CO and Pat (Tracy) Kelly of TX, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     In  addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Larry Kelly.

     Family and friends may call on Monday from 2 ~ 4 and 6 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where his Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
