Obituary of Edward M. Carroll

Gates ~ Edward M. Carroll, age 76, formerly of LeRoy, passed away early Friday morning (April 26, 2019) at Unity Hospital in Greece.

     He was born April 20, 1943 in Batavia, a son of the late Ambrose and Mary Allen Carroll.

     Ed was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and most recently on April 8, he became a very proud grandfather to the love of his life, Viviana.  Ed enjoyed hunting, was a life member of the Oatka Fish & Game Club and a past member of the Excelsior Hook & Ladder Co.

     He is survived by loving wife of 38 years, Cynthia Hopfer Carroll; his children, Thomas Carroll and Meghan (Ricardo) Gutierrez; grandchildren, Oscar Gutierrez and Viviana Grace Carroll Gutierrez and his nephews, Michael Miceli and Joseph (Sharon) Miceli.

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Miceli and nephew, Patrick Miceli.

     Family and friends are invited to attend his Rite of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 1 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy.  Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
