Obituary of Margaret M. Mooney

LeRoy ~ Margaret M. "Peggy" Mooney, age 83, of Church Road, passed away at home Thursday evening (May 30, 2019) in the loving presence of her devoted husband and dedicated aides.

     She was born May 26, 1936 in Lime Rock, a daughter of the late Dominic and Rose Stella Mancuso.

     Peggy worked at Lapp Insulator for many years as a secretary.  After her retirement from Lapp, she enjoyed being a homemaker and was known to be a very good seamstress.   

     She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years , Ed Mooney; her step-daughters, Erin M. Mooney of Washington, DC and Kerry H. Adams of Worcester, MA; step-grandson, Matthew Adams of E. Rochester; brother-in-law, Douglas Brodie of Lowville, NY, along with several nieces, nephews and very close friends and aides.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Robert J. Miggins and her sister, Jane Brodie.

     Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, June 4 at 1:00 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road, LeRoy.  Interment in Machpelah Cemetery will be private.
