Obituary of Donna D. Payne

LeRoy ~ Donna D. Payne, age 79, passed away on Wednesday (Sept. 25, 2019) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     She was born January 3, 1940 in Rochester, N.Y., a daughter of the late James and Gladys Parkinson Langdon.

     Donna will be remembered for her passion surrounding the history of the Civil War.  She was one of the founding members and served as the president of the Civil War Round Table of Genesee County.

     She is survived by her sons, David (Penny) Watson of LeRoy and Dennis Payne of WA; grandsons, James Watson, Anthony Privitera, Peter (Jamie) Privitera and Matthew Privitera; and great-grandchildren, Grace Watson, Logan Privitera and Lily Privitera.  She was predeceased by her husband, Burdett Payne in 2006.

     There are no prior calling hours.  Family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, October 12 at 1:00 PM at the LeRoy American Legion, 53 West Main Street, with a reception to immediately follow.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
