I was one of Rita’s GMH Medical Records Staff and enjoyed reading the tributes by other GMH employees. As I was leaving my job interview with her, she said maybe they would try me out for a couple of years and see how it went. Before I got home, she called my home and told my mother to “Don’t let her go anywhere else”. She was a very gracious lady and I enjoyed working with her.

I worked at Genesee Memorial from 1975 to 1987. I did not know Mrs. Cinquino well, but I remember seeing her in the hall outside of medical records one day where she was verbally beating up one of the doctors for not turning in his records in a timely fashion. Here was tiny Mrs. Cinquino making this 6' 4" doctor feel like a little boy who was being reprimanded. I got the impression that she didn't let the doctors get away with very much.
Please accept my condolences.

I had the pleasure of working with Rita for ten years at Genesee Memorial Hospital. She was in charge of the Medical Records Department and did a terrific job in a highly stressful environment. I never saw her upset or angry, a smile was her constant companion. She was not to be taken lightly. I remember one day a tall man from administration started debating the merits of a patient record issue. She interrupted him and said, "Wait right there and don't move." She then went to her office and carried a chair into the hallway, stood on it, looked him in the eye and said "Now, what is the problem?" She and her wonderful husband Louis were always gracious and cordial. A great family. I can picture Louis and Rita smiling radiantly as they dance to her favorite song "Spanish Eyes" in that kingdom yet to come.
