Obituary of John E. Horgan

LeRoy / Batavia - John "Jack" E. Horgan , age 83, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. Jack was born September 27, 1930 in Batavia, NY, a son of Joseph and Viola Maloy Horgan. He grew up on Church Street in LeRoy. Jack was an avid sports fan and was bemoaning the fact, even though he was critically ill, the number of losses that the Syracuse basketball team was having this year. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James F. Horgan, Sr. He is survived by a cousin, Ann Minnick of Phoenix Arizona, several nieces and nephews as well as many great-nephews and great-nieces. There will be no prior calling hours and burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy, at the convenience of the family.
