Sally, Bill, Ellen and family-- I was sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was such an inspiration-- I loved how she was independent, capable, ambitious and smart. I enjoyed visiting with her in St. John-- either at her house or at ours (Frick House). She was a delight to listen to, always had something interesting to add to the conversation. The last time I saw her, she was in her early 90s-- prior to the hurricane-- and she walked from her house (using a walking stick) to ours unassisted. Earlier in the week she had taken the bus to town. I was amazed at how capable she was so late in life. I admired her ability to study and succeed in the science field. She loved her family and the farm. What an amazing woman!
