I will always cherish the memories of Barb during our high school years. Barb at one time drove a standard dark blue VW; she could drive that car in any weather and I loved being the co-pilot- I still to this day think of Barb when I see a VW. (Her legs were so long that she could steer with her knees!) Every school morning Barb would come to my house and pick me and sometimes my sister up for school. We would be late 3 out of 5 days as we would ask Barb to fix our hair- she was great with a curling iron! After school would be a ride around town, Mini Quick for a 7-Up, visiting friends, or going to one of our houses. I can still see Mr. Walters chair in the living room with his can of peanuts on the floor; the Walters family were always so welcoming and it was a good time going up to Barb's house- no one else that I knew had a sheep named Dolly!
Her smile, blue eyes and her laughing will be what I think of when she comes to mind; she will be young and full of life, and calling me Annie. May Barbra Jean rest in peace and may her family find peace and strength in their memories.
Sincerely,
Anne Iannello Mattice

RIP Barb. Your long journey home is now over.
Why Do We Cry
When someone loved has left this world
We find it so hard not to cry
But rather we sit and ask to ourselves
The sadness of all this is why?
Why is it bad for someone we love
To be free from all of the pain
And why do we cry because we all miss
Someone we will meet with again?
So why not be glad that they have embarked
On the next thing that we all will face
A journey beyond the things that we see
All wrong with the whole human race
The path they now seek will take them to God
To a place that exists up above
To be with the ones who have already left
In a world that can be only love
