Obituary of Joshua Ian Mouery
Stafford ~ Joshua Ian Mouery, age 16, of Main Road, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday (March 30, 2014).
He was born February 13, 1998 in Batavia, a son of Frank Mouery and Michelle Scharlau Mouery.
Joshua, who was a sophomore at LeRoy Central School, was active in many sports growing up. He loved track, bowling, lacrosse, soccer and swimming. He also had a passion for computers and cooking. It was his intention to attend BOCES in his Junior year to follow through with his interest in culinary arts.
He is survived by his mom, Shell Mouery (Jim Wilson) of Stafford, his dad Frank Mouery of Buffalo, a brother, John Macan of TX, nephew, Eli Saile of Batavia, maternal grandmother, Margaret Meisner, paternal grandmother, Lucille Mouery, maternal aunts, Lynne (Roy) of Ithaca and Melissa (Pierce) Thompson of NC, maternal Uncles, David Scharlau of GA and Scott (Barb) Scharlau of Cheektowaga, a paternal aunt, Jackie (Balta) Mejia of Hamburg, special "Uncles", Bruce Scofield and Dan Galliford, along with many other dear relatives.
There are No Prior Calling Hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance for Joshua on Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. which will be held at the LeRoy High School Auditorium, 9300 South Street Road, LeRoy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joshua's family, which will enable them to establish a fund to assist culinary arts students with their studies through the Genesee Valley BOCES Program.
*** REMINDER THAT THERE ARE NO PRIOR CALLING HOURS OR VISITATION AT THE FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends at the Stafford Fire Hall AFTER Joshua's Memorial Service at the school.
