Obituary of Edward J. Blaszak

LeRoy, NY ~ Edward J. Blaszak, age 77, of Church Street passed away at Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 24, 2020.

     He was born November 15, 1942 in Warsaw, New York, son of the late Felix L. Blaszak and Genevieve Cielepala Blaszak.

     Ed will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished the time he could spend with family and friends.  He loved traveling, especially cruising with good friends Paul and Joan Tresco, and visited over 40 countries.  He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Past Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree. Ed was also very proud of his service to his country, having served with the U.S. Army. 

     He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, JoAnn; his children, Suzanne Blaszak, Amy (Jeff) Bartlett and his beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Ethan, Brody, and Brandon.

     In addition to his mother and father, he was predeceased by his brother, Felix Blaszak.

     Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 27th from 11:00 am-12:30 pm at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. (Funeral home occupancy will be limited to 33% capacity during the course of visitation and face masks will be required.)  

     Services will be held at Our Lady of Mercy, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy, NY at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27th, following visitation.
